See the 85 foot La Coca Falls, climb the 70 foot tall Yokahu Tower – at 1, 500 feet in elevation, walk at a natural Trail with its mountain palms and tree ferns. Finish with the opportunity of submerging yourself in a river swim.
ITINERARY
This half day tour starts at 8:30 AM and returns at 12:30 PM
Pick-up at your hotel or short term rental in the tourism section of San Juan.
50 minute drive to El Yunque National Forest
20 minutes at La Coca Falls
25 minutes at Yokahu Tower
20 minutes at Baño Grande
20 minutes at Caimitillo Trail
30 minutes uphill from the parking (interpretation provide) with nature river swim.
15 minutes downhill to the parking (at you leisure)
50 minute back to San Juan Metro Area
Although the total time amounts to 3 hour 30 minutes, each one of these stops is located a different part of the road, a good part of the remaining 30 minutes will be spent driving within the forest between the stops.
Also, a cue forms at the forest entrance, we must enter the cue in order to access the areas herein mentioned. The early 8:30 AM departure is a must.
